About
Steven Marshall, Attorney
I handled thousands of cases at high-volume firms, then started Marshall Law to do it better: fewer cases, real preparation, personal attention. I’m best at the hard ones — including cases other firms turned down.
Before law school, I lived in New York City and was the first sales hire at a tiny startup — now Yext, publicly traded. I was one of Lyft’s first drivers — right after taking the California bar, to make money while I waited for the results. I passed. I started vending at Wrigley Field at age 16, walking up and down the stands selling peanuts and sodas until graduating to beer. Still my favorite job ever.
My family and I moved to Memphis in 2017. We didn’t have jobs lined up. We didn’t have family here. We just loved the city — especially the people — and were excited to raise our family here.

How I work
Here’s how I work.
Listen.
You tell me what happened. I ask the questions that matter.
Investigate.
I dig up the evidence — video, witnesses, black-box data.
Plan.
Then we decide together: settle or go to court.

Questions
Questions, answered.
Yes. If another firm turned you down, I’ll take a fresh look. When the facts support it, I’ll invest my own money up front to prove your case.
Have any letters, photos, medical records, or police reports nearby. But don’t wait to call if you don’t have everything — I can start with what you know.
No. The first call is free and helps us decide if I’m the right fit. I only become your lawyer after we sign an agreement, and there’s no fee unless we win.
Call sooner rather than later. Legal deadlines may apply, and evidence can be lost over time.
